The entertainment industry needs to embrace ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) for its increasingly complex production needs.

 

A feature film takes, on average, 18 months to complete the production process. The production will grow from initially employing a small handful of pre-production personnel to upwards of 5000 employees, including a host of vendors. Data flow and communication are critical between the films vendors, production units, production departments, director, producers, marketing department and studio. However, production management, data communication, and most other costly production processes are often characterized by a near total lack of information technology integration and automation.

 

Cinema Black Box (CBX) is a hosted software as a service (SaaS) platform allowing the thousands of production personnel to securely upload, retrieve, store and manage production assets.  Organizational data and workflow rules optimize production data exchange to ensure asset tracking, accountability and efficiency. CBX is designed to become the industry’s standard by providing an Internet based enterprise class solution for managing feature film and television production. CBX has been developed in concert with the very industry leading VFX Supervisors - and budget managers - who will utilize it, license it, and gain from its greatest benefit : significant cost reductions, improved efficiencies and risk management.
